Students at Johns Hopkins University can attend our medical imaging course, where medical imaging modalities are introduced. Lectures in advanced MRI methods are also provided nationwide and internationally.
Medical Imaging Systems (ME.420. 710) is a 3 credit hours graduate course taught at Johns Hopkins University. This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of the most important clinical medical imaging modalities, including X-ray, Mammography, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The primary focus is on the physical principles, instrumentation design, and imaging algorithms of these systems. Strengths, weaknesses, and common clinical applications for each imaging modality are also discussed.
The course is given every fall at the East Baltimore Campus. Registration can be made through the Student Information System.

Dr. Linda Knutsson has vast teaching experience. She has been an active teacher for more than 20 years, teaching at undergraduate and graduate level. Dr. Knutsson has also developed several graduate and postgraduate courses, as well as serving as a course director for various courses.
